Hey Friend,

Hope you're having a great kick off to this new year. I took some extra days to myself and tried not to work on anything, which mostly proved good, because I got some mental rest (I still snuck in some work). Overall it was a good decompress not thinking about writing, editing, publishing, artists, and so forth. Not that it isn't fun, just that the mind has to step away from what it loves as well. I have been going hard at these creations for years and years. The downtime allowed me to binge watch Cobra Kai Season 5. Oh yes it was awesome.

Today's heading has the word Corneacopia (like Cornucopia), which is in reference to Eye of The Keeper, and specifically one of it's reward tiers for the upcoming Kickstarter. I am holding off on a launch date because I am still going through portfolios for a specific short story for the Ashcan (the one that is a tribute to Dheeraj Verma), and then the actual main story. My eyes are happy at all the portfolio content, but the hours I spend going through them, past 3am often, is unhealthy (hence I am making changes to the hours I work, "yeah good luck with that night owl". (Who said that?). There's a test art phase and I am narrowing down who I hope to work with. It's a challenging interview process because creatively we need to be a good fit, and both parties need to be happy doing what they do. But wow I have seen some amazing art styles lately and everyone is truly making their best effort.

So for both EOTK and Grain, there will be new artists. There's been some shifting in a good way, but I am doing what it takes to bring you some refined comic, and streaming entertainment.

So that's it for now. I noticed I missed last weeks post. Talk about being accountable. I will take it up with the accounting department.
